Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 lemon, halved
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp fresh sage
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Place the chicken into a roasting pan and stuff it with the lemon halves. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and season it with the garlic powder, sage, salt, and pepper.
- Roast until the chicken is golden and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F on a meat thermometer, about an hour and a half. To get a crisp, golden skin, broil for the last 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
