Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken wings
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp ground celery seed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
In a large zipper bag, toss the chicken wings with the cornstarch. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the wings onto a nonstick baking sheet. Bake the chicken wings until they begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Flip the wings and continue to cook until they reach an internal temperature of 165ºF, about 15 to 20 minutes. Broil the wings until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes.
While the wings are baking, in a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and celery seed. Cook, while stirring, over medium heat until the butter has completely melted and the sauce is hot. Set it aside.
Once the wings are cooked, transfer them into a large bowl and pour the sauce over the wings. Toss them well to coat each wing evenly.
Serve immediatley.
