Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 apple, cored and diced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (gluten-free)
- 1 tsp apple pie spice
- ¼ cup walnuts
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the apple and brown sugar and cook, stirring often, until the apples begin to soften, about 5 minutes. Add the oats, apple cider, and apple pie spice. Stir and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has been absorbed, for about 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately topped with the walnuts.
