Sweet & Spicy Sesame Wings
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken wings
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp fresh ginger
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
- In a large zipper bag, toss the chicken wings with the cornstarch. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the wings onto a nonstick baking sheet. Bake the chicken wings until they begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Flip the wings and continue to cook until they reach an internal temperature of 165ºF, about 15 to 20 minutes. Broil the wings until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes.
- While the wings are baking, in a small saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, and ginger. Cook, stirring, over medium-low heat until everything is well combined and hot.
- Once the wings are cooked, transfer them into a large bowl and pour the sauce over the wings. Toss them well to coat each wing evenly.
- Serve immediately topped with the sesame seeds and green onions.
